Official Course Description
Linear spaces and transformations, matrix representation of linear mappings. Euclidean spaces. Determinants. Eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Spectral Theorem. Quadratic surfaces and quadratic forms.
This course replaces the the course MATB11 Linear Algebra, 7.5 credits, from the spring term of 2016. The course is compulsory for students enrolled in the Bachelor´s Programme in Mathematics, Physics, Theoretical Physics and Astronomy and it is given parallel to the course MATB21 Analysis in Several Variables 1, 7.5 credits.
