- Title: Modelling and simulation of flotation
- Short description:
Flotation is a process commonly used in mineral processing and wastewater treatment to separate some material from a suspension by the use of bubbles and the degree of hydrophobicity of different materials. The volume fraction of bubbles in a flotation column can be modelled by a nonlinear partial differential equations and simulated by a suitable numerical method.
